CMIA when you mention this name, you automatically feel an abundance of emotions that can't be described. I've never in my life experienced a blessing as largely as this one. Our journey to the boy's home in Nakuru, the teen girls and little ones in Masai country to the beauties at the main place where we stayed were nothing less than looking into eyes of Jesus Himself. These beautiful kids touch your soul to a place you never knew existed. And none of this would be possible without the amazing couple who started it all, Pastor David & Jennifer Hatley. Our stay here was so comforting and we were well taken care of, right down to the chef, the driver, and their kids, Penny and Jim. When I say LIFE CHANGING, I mean it whole heartily!! These babies have hardly anything but yet smile for everything!! Such an honor to be a part of CMIA!! Thank you for all you do and God bless!!!

I came to GCC in March 2001, i was about 8 years old then. I had lost both of my parents and was living with my grandmother then. I met a good Samaritan who referred me to GCC. Being in GCC has played a big part in my life. It has molded me into the person that i am today. I have had the best childhood growing up in GCC. After GCC when i heard there was a job opening at the office reception i did not hesitate. I love working at Christian Ministries in Africa. I see myself as part of a big team bringing a big change in peoples lives, and there is nothing better than being there for someone who truly needs you. I thank God for CMIA and the Directors for letting me be part of them. CMIA is my home and family.

Because of our long standing friendship with David and Jennifer Hatley, we have followed their ministry from the very beginning. We have had the privilege of visiting Christian Ministries in Africa three times – in the years 2000, 2005 and 2016. It has always thrilled us to see the delightful faces of the children in the homes of Grace Children’s Centres. It is obvious that these children are loved and well cared for. In addition, they are given an opportunity to grow in the knowledge of God’s purpose for their lives.

We became more directly involved with the ministry when we chose to sponsor two young men in 2006. As a result of this decision, we have been able to maintain a personal connection to the boys we sponsor. These boys were five and six when we first became involved in their lives. We have had the joy of watching them grow from young children to intelligent and productive young men, who are now mature and ready to serve God as young adults.

There is a tremendous sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing our small investment in these boys continues to bring great fruit in their lives. Even though we don’t have the opportunity to see them frequently, we know that the impact of our contribution, as well as our prayers and encouragement over the years, has been one of the keys that enabled them to flourish. We are so very grateful for the impact that Christian Ministries in Africa continues to have on the lives of these precious children.
